HIGHLAND WARRIOR was well received and is in its second printing. The story is set in Scotland in the 1400's and involves a blood feud between Clan MacKay and Clan MacKenna.
I know I told you in a previous newsletter that I have cut down to one book a year. But at the urging of my fans I've decided to give you two books in 2007, HIGHLAND WARRIOR in March and THE PRICE OF PLEASURE in December. THE PRICE OF PLEASURE takes place mostly in England, but the first few chapters are set in a French prison, aptly named Devil's Chateau, during the French Revolution. Near death, Reed Harwood , an English operative, is rescued by a mysterious woman known as the Black Widow by his fellow inmates. Rumors abound among the prisoners that the Black Widow takes men from the prison and uses them as love slaves. Reed is stunned when the heavily veiled, black-clad woman chooses him, for no man could be closer to death. It seems utterly preposterous that he could be of any use to her in or out of bed. Reed soon learns that the Black Widow is more than she seems. Fleur Fontaine nurses Reed back to health and together they flee to London moments before capture by French zealots. Reed learns that the Black Widow is an escapee from the guillotine and a French countess. More importantly, he learns that his brother is dead and he is now the Earl of Hunthurst. I hope my teaser whets your appetite for THE PRICE OF PLEASURE.
I am currently working on VIKING WARRIOR, a story set in Norway and Denmark. The rousing tale of love and adventure involves a Viking warrior and a Dane captive who truly captivates her captor. Reyna is a healer, and though she is a slave, she is valued by Wulf's extended family for her healing skills. Wulf, however, cannot accept that Reyna is a Dane, a woman whose people killed his wife and unborn child during a raid. Watch for VIKING WARRIOR in 2008.
On a personal note, I lost my beloved husband of 57 years in August 2007. It was an unexpected shock and I am still mourning his loss.
My beautiful great-grandson continues to grow and prosper. I will soon have more pictures of him my Web site.
